The story that I am sharing with you is about a young lady that is in our program now who has been in six different programs before coming to New Creations. At the age of three she was taken away from her parents, and, at the age of four, she was adopted into her family, but she just would not adjust into the family. The family loved her and wanted her, but she just wouldn’t cooperate in any way.

After they had placed her into five additional places and she had been kicked out of all of them, the parents were exhausted and had no idea what to do. So they got on the internet praying, asking God to please show them what to do. As they were looking through the internet they came across New Creations Boarding School, a ministry to youth ages 12-18, and as the mother was looking at the internet page she saw: “This is the place for your child”. She told her daughter about this and she felt this was a sign to her to place her daughter here.

Later, after she had made a call to New Creations Boarding School, she went back to see that statement again, and she couldn’t find it. The reason the mother could not find it is because it was never there in the first place. See, the hand of God worked a miracle to get that child to New Creations. The child has been here now for over twelve months and for the first time in her life she is cooperating with the program. She has asked Jesus in her heart and is doing great. She is doing her school work, working on a relationship with her adoptive parents, and trying to find God’s plan for her life. She is determined to make this ministry a place where she makes it.

It’s not New Creations that gets the youth to do anything, it’s God speaking to the parent or guardian to bring the child into the program, and it’s the child that hears God and starts making changes. We are only the willing vessels that work at New Creations, who try to be led by God to speak the things of God that will bring a young person to the point of wanting change to happen in their life.

The change is coming into this young lady’s life only because she has heard God and wants to change. That change will be for a lifetime if she keeps listening to God’s instructions.
