Life Changing Encounters

Posted by New Creations (0) Comment

Forty-two years and counting – that’s how long New Creations has been reaching out to youth in the United States and foreign countries.

Our conviction is that only Jesus Christ can really change their lives. Therefore, our goal and mission is to introduce young men and women to Jesus as the answer to their life problems. The ministry is both very challenging and rewarding.

True, not all the young people who come into the program have a life changing personal encounter with Christ, but all of them have seeds of the gospel sown into their lives. Seeds that we believe, and testimonies prove, will bring forth fruit, long after the person has left the program.

A very high percentage will make a profession of faith while in the program, even though commitment does not always coincide with confession. There will also be a certain amount of recidivism as is characteristic in all teen residential programs like ours. However, the sown seed will take root and grow, bringing the desired change in the future. continue

The students of New Creations will minister in various churches across the nation, as churches from everywhere request the youth to sing and share their testimonies with their congregations. These services are always anointed and Spirit filled.

It is incredible to see the hand of God at work in our students’ lives as He uses these young people to spread the gospel message.

If your church is interested in having our students minister to your congregation, please call the New Creations office at (765) 935-2790.

At New Creations Boarding School, we believe that part of instilling responsibility into our young people is teaching them what it means to have a healthy, strong work ethic.

As Wikipedia words it, a work ethic is “a set of values based on hard work and diligence…. A work ethic may include being reliable, having initiative, or pursuing new skills.”

In order for us to help our teens move from immaturity toward becoming mature adults, we must help them learn hands-on what it means to have a strong work ethic. To accomplish this goal, our staff models a good work ethic in their day-to-day behavior, and we give the students opportunities to apply these work ethic lessons in their own lives. continue

It is a proven fact that interaction with animals has a positive effect on many people in this world. Throughout history, animals have been a comfort for the elderly and an aid in teaching children how to be responsible. When teenagers work with animals, teens gain the many benefits of experiencing trust, commitment, caring and even love for the animal which they are placed in charge of.

My name is Rachael and I want to be a fashion designer. It was really hard for me to admit fashion design was what I wanted to do, because people used to make fun of me, so I have kept it a secret for the last 5 years.

A couple of months ago, I got a package in the mail from my mom, and it was a sketch fashion book. My best friend, Esther, was wondering why I had not told her about my dream of being a fashion designer. I am really good at drawing lots of different clothes pieces and with painting different things. I have the drawing part down pat, but I really don’t know how to sew yet. As a matter of fact I am quite bad at it.

But if there is a will, there is a way! My counselor, Miss Brenda, is teaching me how to sew and take my designs and make patterns for them. continue

God’s answer to the sinfulness of the Human heart is REGENERATION. Those who repent from their heart, and confess in their heart that Jesus is Lord are born again and receive a NEW HEART from God.

Within the hearts of those that receive the spiritual birth, God creates a desire to love and obey Him. Such love for and devotion to God cannot be separated from obedience to His Word. Jesus taught that love for God with the whole heart and love for one’s neighbor summarize God’s entire Law (Matt 22:37-40). Love from the heart is the essential ingredient in obedience. Outward observance without an inner desire to serve God is hypocritical religion and is severely condemned by our Lord (Lk 21:1-4). continue

Here we see one of the ministering staff sitting down to eat with one of the students at New Creations Boarding School. This is an evening meal, and what is so great about it is that it is a meal that has helped Steven lose forty pounds.

When Steven came to New Creations Boarding School, he was overweight and having some health problems because of it. We are so incredibly proud of Steven for making a choice to get rid of the extra weight. After a visit to the Doctor and being told that he was a border line diabetic, it was Steven who made the decision to get rid of the extra weight. continue

Blessings from Above

Hey, my name is Jasmine and I am 17 years old and I have been here for almost 15 months. I started playing the piano when I was 4 years and old and it has always been a passion of mine. I took piano lessons for about seven years and then I stopped. When I came here, I couldn’t wait to make my levels so that I could play the piano at church and in the dorm. But then I realized that we didn’t have a piano in the dorm and there was only one located in the Chapel and the Church.

Knowing that practice makes perfect, me and some other staff members prayed for a keyboard for me so that I could practice and jam on it in the dorm. A couple weeks later, a new staff moved in and brought a key-board with her that she said that she was getting ready to donate. She said that God told her that someone in the dorm needed one and that she needed to bring it here. continue
