Boarding School Level System: Restriction Level
Uniform: Designated special clothing for school & dorm
Description: Unruly, uncooperative behavior
Dorm Goals: Help student return to proper level.
School Goals: Help student to return to productive behavior.
Restriction Level Privileges and Limitations
- Absolutely NO privileges
- Communication only to staff members in private conversation.
- Loss of any level earned up to this point.
- Must wear an identifying article of clothing. girls must wear skirts. Boys must wear tie & dress clothes.
Assignment of restriction will be decided by the Counselor, Head Counselor and/or Dorm Director. A restricted status depends on the individual student. The time may be set for a determined amount of time from 15 minutes to 3 days. The evaluation process will determine whether the student will remain on or lose his/her present level. A student placed on restriction will automatically be placed on Super No for the remainder of the week. They will also receive two rebukes.
Runaway Discipline
A student can and will be considered a run-away for the following:
- Any sneak out
- Leaving the grounds without permission
- Leaving the dorm without permission
- Outside the dorm after 9:00 pm without a counselor
- Not being at a designated place at the assigned time
Upon returning, the run-away student will be disciplined as follows:
- Return to Level 1C. This menas loss of previous level.
- Placed on 3 Day Restriction.
- The student will receive 3 zero's on chart for running away.
- The student will receive 3 rebukes for running away.
- Upon completion of 3 days restriction, the student will automatically be placed on "Super No" for 7 days.
- Following the 7 days of "Super No," the student will be placed on 7 days of "Yes," "No" or "Super No" based on their behavior chart rating from the week prior minus one step. Therefore, they cannot be a "Super Yes."
- The student will remain on level 1C despite their previous level before running away.
Notes:
The letter next to the level determines progress with that level. "C" is a probation period, "B" is stable, and "A" is well on the way to the next level.
