Psalm 37:7 starts: “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” The main word that hits me in this sentence is WAIT! I do not care for this word. It is a frustrating word. Wait basically has the feel of the answer being NO. I know wait may be good for me, but this is not a comfortable place. I am feeling pretty negative at this moment.

But relooking at the words I notice the word REST. Rest gives me a feeling of peace and a lack of struggle. I am feeling a little less on edge now! In my humanness I can find the frustrating things and dwell there so easily.

God does have ways for me to look at things if I will open my eyes a little wider and grasp His reminders that He is concerned about my well being. I think He understands the frustration of waiting but wants the trust to be in Him and that we can rest in this trust.
